The transversal program of the Valencia World Design Capital 2022 candidacy includes a complete plan of events that will cover all design disciplines, from industrial design to space design through architecture and the design of services and interfaces. The objective is to coordinate the programming with the cultural agenda of the city to impregnate it with design and bring it closer to the public.
Thus, from January to December 2022, each month will feature a global theme based on four types of events: exhibitions, conferences, workshops and talks. The focus will focus on content such as design against climate change, Mediterranean design, design’s commitment to gender equality, the history of design, the story based on design, industrial development and design and nature, among others.
On the part of the companies promoting the candidacy of Valencia World Capital of Design, the fundamental role of Valencian companies in the furniture sector stands out, such as POINT, CAPDELL, ANDREU WORLD, ACTIU, GANDIA BLASCO, TREBOL MOBILIARIO and VONDOM, great promoters of the project since its inception, as well as ANIEME.
