Inspired by the indulgent interiors of the 1970s and 1980s, MIMOSO brings a generous, maximalist attitude to contemporary lounging. Designed by Note (design studio) for Sancal, it is conceived as a soft modular programme with deep proportions, rounded volumes and an inviting, almost duvet-like presence.

Its visual softness is the result of precise technical development: fabric patterning, ergonomic testing and a carefully balanced mix of foams. The contrast between the loose, enveloping upper cushion and the firm, defined base enhances the sensation of comfort, while soft and flexible upholstery fabrics are essential to achieving its plush character.

The system is composed of five wide modules designed to maximise the lounging surface and create linear, L-shaped or U-shaped compositions. Intended for relaxed residential interiors and shared living environments, it encourages informal postures, long pauses and a more generous way of inhabiting the sofa.
