Located in Fregene, on the coast near Rome, Mediterranean Villa is the result of a comprehensive renovation that reimagines an existing residence through a stronger connection between architecture and landscape. The transformation centres on a redesigned façade featuring large glazed arched openings that dissolve the boundary between interior and exterior, allowing natural light, materials and outdoor living to become integral elements of the architectural experience. Warm, earthy tones and natural finishes reinforce the project’s distinctly Mediterranean character.

For the outdoor areas surrounding the garden and swimming pool, OGO Furniture introduces a bold design strategy that complements the restraint of the interior spaces. The STARFISH collection, designed by Nacho Timón, together with the sculptural FLOWER pieces, creates vibrant focal points that activate the landscape without disrupting the project’s architectural coherence. Their organic forms, versatility and expressive use of colour establish a dynamic dialogue between built space and nature, demonstrating how outdoor furniture can become an integral design element rather than a decorative addition. The project illustrates how carefully specified furniture can enhance the identity of residential outdoor environments, offering architects and interior designers an inspiring example of the role colour, form and flexibility can play in contemporary Mediterranean living.
