HURTADO wins admirers with the new items of the SOHO collection

In today’s marketplace, it is more important than ever for furniture manufacturers to keep their finger on the pulse of design trends in order to meet the demands of ever more discerning and responsive consumers. Bearing this in mind, Ana Hurtado, creative director at HURTADO, has designed SOHO, a home furniture collection responding to the rising trend that celebrates beautiful craftsmanship, functionality and simplicity.

The collection features a perfect blend of modernity and tradition, with opposites enhancing each other through a common thread: the elegance of exclusive designs with unsurpassed quality. The newly launched catalogue, which has been completed with the latest additions to the basic pieces launched last year at the Salone and High Point, includes now dining and living room furniture, bedroom furniture and occasional pieces that can also be used to complement other collections of the EVOLUTION line.

True to its brand vision focused on great customisation, HURTADO has now enriched its catalogue with 5 new finishes based on matte oak tinted in different tones (natural, sand, tobacco, honey, brown and black). This way, the collection is now available in 27 finishes that includes lacquers in three levels of sheen and a choice of noble woods, such as walnut, maple and rosewood. The colour palette is subtle with a focus on creating relaxing and uncomplicated ambiences with hues such as cream, ivory and bright grey.

Marble tops, leather and brass are used in large measure to keep schemes sophisticated and add further interest to ambiences.

DINING ROOMS

Aimed at being the statement piece of refined dining rooms, the SOHO dining tables are the epitome of perfect craftsmanship and attention to detail. Made of wood or glass, tops can come in different shapes (racetrack or round) and sizes, fixed or with two central extensions.

Models are available with a base inspired by the designs of the 60s and 70s or with four legs for a more contemporary look.

Major standouts of the SOHO dining range are the amazing line of sideboards and cabinets. Sideboards come with four centre drawers (or simply with doors) that are also offered covered in leather, two side doors, marble tops and brass accents on the feet as well as on the top handles.

All the drawers are provided with soft closing system. The offer for dining spaces is completed by a display cabinet with glass elements and LED lighting.

With their soft shapes, the dining chairs offer great comfort, balanced proportions and a perfect equilibrium of straight lines and curves. Upholsteries boasts a contemporary yet refined look that complements, elevates and enriches dining spaces.

LIVING ROOMS

The sophistication of the occasional furniture and the elegance of the TV stands, cleverly embellished by exclusive finishes such as the brass details, the marble tops and the leather, provide lounge space with understated elegance and originality.

The low TV stand can simply be complemented by a choice of coffee and side tables whose geometric architectural forms and lines accentuate the chic appeal of ambiences. The new two-and three-seater sofas feature a mid-century design and are embellished by a delicate deep-buttoned back.

New additions include the beautifully crafted SOHO MASTER armchair and SOHO MASTER sofa that are enriched by a classic, external tufted upholstery, high-sheen maple arms and rosewood feet.

Sophisticated yet highly functional, the new bar cabinet turns soon into a real focal point of decoration. This piece features a bottle rack, two drawers, a glass shelf and shelving on each door.

A bar unit with matching stools is also available for more informal solutions.

Consoles, desks, modular units, high tables, umbrella stands, waste basket, planters, room dividers complete the offer while providing matching solutions for home-office and entrance halls.

BEDROOMS

In natural wood or lacquered, the SOHO bedroom is pure contemporary refinement. It features a stunning king size bed with upholstered headboard and beautiful brass accents on feet, bases and handles. Bedside tables can be chosen completely wood veneered with brass detailing or with marble top and leather fronts for a cooler touch.

The bedroom is complemented by different models of low or high chest-of-drawers, wardrobes – in different sizes – and a choice of mirrors.

The highlight here is the new amazing jewellery armoire, a real masterpiece that boasts impeccable craftsmanship and great attention to detail. It features three main drawers, and five compartment drawers, one glass shelf on the top, and shelves with hangers on each door.

The bedroom furniture is complemented by a new vanity in matte walnut which is a glamorous accent piece that stands out for its refined design.
