I SALONI 2013 Classic: the made in Spain contemporary classic trend
Classic furniture is evolving and MUEBLE DE ESPAÑA keep up with latest trends by introducing new interior concepts that respond to different need and tastes. The contemporary classic trend pairs perfectly the beauty and classical feeling of tradition with less ornate lines, neutral colours and innovative materials. A bunch of Spanish brands, such as AMBOAN, LATORRE, LOLA GLAMOUR, LA EBANISTERIA and LLASS, has successfully embraced this trend. But let’s have a sneak preview on Spain’s new contemporary classic designs on display in Milan…
The Spanish contemporary classic style retains the luxury quality and soft lines of traditional furnishing, but without the fuss of classic high décor. The emphasis is on more on large, geometric shapes that suggest comfort and utility, while still capturing the unique and attractive aesthetic of classic designs. The colour scheme trends to be more neutral, with cream, taupes, grays and white suggesting a more refreshing and comfortable look. Contrast is often highlighted through textures or tones. Material formerly associated with more contemporary designs – such as stainless steel and chrome – have been introduced as well in order to get the attention of younger consumers.
AMBOAN – Hall 1 Stand B14
Amboan will put on display its latest EVENT line of dining rooms, bedrooms, occasional furniture and sofas. The collection that features a sophisticated mix of tradition and new materials and finishes, such as the high-gloss lacquer, the exclusive Caviar colour and high-quality leathers and steel, has recently been extended to include a new elegant Champagne lacquer finish and a more traditional ebony veneer finish.
As for leather, in addition to cocos patent-leather, there is a new Galuchat toasted hue as a new proposal.
LA EBANISTERIA – Hall 1 Stand F02
After a successful participation at IMM Cologne, LA EBANISTERIA will bring to Milan its brand new amazing NITE NITE collection that mixes the best of tradition with cutting-edge lines and finishes.
Combining intriguing upholstered headboards and armchairs made of high quality fabrics, this line of unique bedroom furniture offers a wide choice in finishes, textures, fabrics and colours to set a warm cozy atmosphere in contemporary yet sophisticated spaces.
LATORRE – Hall 1 Stand B07
In Milan, the firm will present the black lacquered version of its LOW NIGHTINGHALE armchair in two attractive fabrics: fine cotton and viscose velvet. NIGHTINGALE is a very sleek and elegant dining chair, in matt black or matt white wood finish. Available in a large selection of fabrics and leathers, it matches perfectly with the sleek HEATHROW dining table.
Visitors will also be impressed by the new version of the splendidly sumptuous GRAND NATIONAL AMAZING sofa, a choice that can be configured in different ways: fabric or leather, with or without capitonné finish or with an optional integrated bookcase on the backside. Inspired to the avant-garde of the 50’s, the piece takes the scene in grand spaces bringing instant glamour and comfort.
LLASS – Hall 1 Stand H02
LLASS will present at I SALONI the EUPHORIA and STRAVAGANZA collection, two new line of home furniture that boasts a more contemporary look and an innovative range of finishes, such as the gloss chrome details and a neutral tone palette. Made of ebony with a high gloss finish, STRAVAGANZA is also available in a lacquered version. Lines are soothed by fine chrome inlays that add gleaming accents and a glamorous feel.
EUPHORIA features an original textured finish on the fronts and a choice of other configurations that range from high gloss to total matt to be combined with the basic buckle gold or silver finishes.
LOLA GLAMOUR – Hall 1 Stand D02 / D06
Set in 1995, LOLA GLAMOUR offers a reinterpretation of forms, materials and colours, creating unique designs with enough personality to reign alone. Surfaces are treated with complex finishing processes to achieve an intriguing craft essence and the required color and look.
In Milan the brand will present a choice of bold pieces, all made of high quality materials, that shift naturally from modern to classic aesthatics fitting different ambiences, modern as well as vintage.
Structures plays with asymmetry featuring a chaotic mix of shapes, colours, textures and fittings, as in the TETRIS desk or in the FLOR cabinet and the PUNK sideboard. On display at I SALONI…
