INSULA, a universal design by Patricia Urquiola with a traditional touch

The INSULA modular sofa is Patricia Urquiola’s contemporary reinterpretation of the traditional seating used in Arabic Majlis, spaces where communities gathered to converse, welcome guests, and enjoy moments in good company.

The design of Insula presents a modular sofa with rational lines, softly rounded shapes, and a low height. The standout feature is the bolster on the backrest, which draws attention and adds a strong horizontal emphasis. Its proportions are carefully balanced, allowing it to blend seamlessly as a subtle architectural element in various settings.

The primary function of the INSULA sofa is to encourage social interaction. Its versatility in terms of configurations makes it ideal for all types of social situations, whether indoors or outdoors: from an office reception offering a relaxed space to work, to a home lounge area or an outdoor space for enjoying the sun and leisure moments.

The modular design consists of an orthogonal aluminium base, on which a large, plush, and very comfortable seat cushion is placed. The seats, available in two sizes, allow for the combination of different types of backrests: single, double, corner, etc.

PASSAGE: a lightweight and versatile chair by Ronan Bouroullec for multiple spaces

PASSAGE is a multifunctional chair, able to adapt easily to various situations, locations, and purposes. It can be used both indoors and outdoors, placed in a public space or in the comfort of a home, fitting naturally in an urban environment or in the countryside.

KETTAL has named this model “Passage,” a word that denotes movement, representing the transition or change from one place to another, whether in travel, literature, or music. The materials, carefully selected by its designer, Ronan Bouroullec, reflect his pursuit of a lightweight yet durable design. Made from aluminium, the chair is both recycled and recyclable, contributing significantly to creating products with a low carbon footprint, reinforcing Kettal’s strong commitment to environmental sustainability.

KALL: elegant and sophisticated phonebooths for your privacy

Designed by the Kettal Studio team, these “phone booths” reimagine the traditional concept of a booth. With a minimalist approach to the access door, Kall creates the feeling of being seamlessly integrated into the space it occupies. It provides a private space with a dual effect: it shields you from outside noise and distractions, while also giving the sensation of being somewhat exposed, like in a shop window. Its side elements allow for privacy at multiple levels, whether it’s for documents, digital devices, or even facial expressions. Everything has been thoughtfully designed by Kettal Studio to offer a product that is perfectly integrated into various spaces and versatile for different situations.

However, the KALL collection is characterised not only by its design. KETTAL has integrated the technology and functionality that every modern user requires today. All functions are electronically controlled, yet discreetly and elegantly hidden, allowing the user to adjust everything necessary for a personalised experience: from desk height to ventilation control and connectivity.

KALL is available in several sizes, labelled “S,” “M,” and “L,” depending on the seating option, such as a stool, low chair, or swivel armchair. There is also an “XL” version that accommodates a four-seater, allowing users to share the space with more people.
