ENSEMBLE is a solid wood bench designed by Mentsen for Vergés, conceived as a warm, austere and timeless piece rooted in the tradition of communal seating. Inspired by vernacular church benches and other shared environments, its design expresses the essential idea of “sitting together” through clear lines and a quietly architectural presence.

Crafted entirely in solid wood, the bench features a simple yet highly refined construction system. Its meticulous joinery, reminiscent of Japanese woodworking culture, highlights the elegance of the connections between legs, seat and central beam. The honesty of its structure enhances both durability and visual clarity, revealing the material’s natural grain and character.

Robust and versatile, it adapts effortlessly to contemporary residential and contract settings. Available with or without backrest and in different lengths, it incorporates connection elements that allow linear compositions or angled layouts.
