ARAB CULTURE PAVILION FOR EXPO DUBAI
- Dubai, United Arab Emirates
- Typology:
KETTAL has collaborated with AGI International Architecture Studio to create a new material called KETTAL STRAPS, for the Arab Culture Pavilion at Expo Dubai.
KETTAL STRAPS are made of recyclable anti-UV polypropylene and are outdoors, sun and water resistant, as well as light, soft and warm. Their shades refer to natural landscapes such as the sea, the desert or the forest.
In order to present hospitality as a symbol of the character of the United Arab Emirates, AGi Architects has designed the Majlis project. Visitors to Expo 2020 can explore the essence of the three cultures present in the Emirates throughout the different spaces of the exhibition site.
In addition, the Majlis represents their commitment to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and economic efficiency, so that after the Expo, they reference the core concepts of the Expo proposal: “Connecting Minds, Creating the Future”, “Opportunity, Mobility and Sustainability”.
