In Madrid’s Méndez Álvaro district—a central industrial area undergoing rapid development in the south of the city—stands the corporate campus of the Spanish multinational Repsol. Designed by architect Rafael de la Hoz, the complex comprises four buildings arranged around a vast central plaza, reminiscent of a monastery cloister. This expansive green space, featuring shared areas and landscaped zones, serves as one of the project’s key elements.

Located on the ground floor of one of these buildings is the company’s new meeting center, designed to host a variety of events including corporate meetings, product presentations, talks, and training sessions essential to Repsol’s operations. The functionality of the space is built on a hybrid approach: the furniture had to offer maximum durability for intensive use, while the environment needed to function as a fully integrated multimedia space. To this end, advanced technological, acoustic, and lighting solutions were incorporated to enhance the communication experience.

Materials played a fundamental role in the project’s conception. Our Times Square and Zen systems were adapted to incorporate high-resistance materials such as Fenix®, ensuring long-term, intensive use.

The project’s most distinctive feature is a custom-designed hybrid meeting table, combining our Times Square system with the Joseph sofa, arranged in a horseshoe shape. This design facilitates two-tiered conferencing: the first level accommodates users seated at the table, while the second hosts attendees seated on the sofa—all oriented toward a large video wall used for presentations and conferences.
