‘La Alameda’ reading room
- Yecla, Murcia, Spain
- Typology: Educational & Entertainment
To build a diaphanous, versatile and modern space in which culture and teamwork are encouraged. This has been the central idea proposed by the Yecla City Council and on which the Fama team has worked to fully equip a new reading room in Yecla (Murcia), baptized as ‘La Alameda’.
The room has spaces for team work differentiated by age, as well as a part dedicated to concentration and individual reflection. For this purpose, this space has been equipped with a modular shelving chair, with a curved and enveloping shape that invites concentration, as well as with the ‘La siesta’ tilting lounger.
But undoubtedly the main protagonist is the green tier that has been placed presiding over the reading room and that will serve as a stage for storytelling and workshops. The Fama team has developed this piece with the ergonomics and comfort of the users of the room in mind, with the aim of making reading a moment to enjoy.
