With its 171 newly designed rooms, 2 restaurants, 1 bar, the fitness room, the casino and various event rooms, the business Kursaal Hotel is deemed as one of the most renowned buildings in the Swiss capital city. Architect Nina Mair has managed to retain the original feature of the building whilst introducing new clever design solutions and a carefully thought-out sustainability concept. The interior décor stands out for its timeless appeal, the great attention to detail, the use of natural materials and the functionality of its furnishing elements. nanimarquina worked in close collaboration with Nina Mair to create several bespoke rugs with hexagonal shapes and a custom made pattern that evokes the original wooden structures of the building.

The rugs have been used to decor both the lobby, where they delimit common spaces, and the rooms, helping to create a comfortable and cosy environment.
