V&A East Storehouse
- London, United Kingdom
- Typology: Educational & Entertainment, Institutional & Embassies
Located in London’s Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park, V&A East Storehouse is a new public-facing museum store and collections centre for the Victoria and Albert Museum. Opened in May 2025, the project brings together more than 250,000 objects, 350,000 books and 1,000 archives in a four-level facility conceived to give direct public access to the museum’s collections, research and conservation work.
Designed by Diller Scofidio + Renfro with Austin-Smith:Lord as local architect, the building rethinks the relationship between storage, display and learning. Its spaces support exhibitions, workshops, performances and study, while accommodating large-scale objects and archive material within a single institutional setting.
Andreu World furniture is integrated into the interior of V&A East Storehouse as part of a project shaped around public access, study and shared use. The selection supports the building’s civic and cultural function, contributing to spaces intended for consultation, circulation and everyday visitor use within a clear and contemporary architectural framework.
