Business mission of interior architects from Netherlands and United Kingdom to ANIEME’s companies
From June 26th to 28th, a number of furniture companies located in Valencia, Castellón and Barcelona received the visit of interior architects from leading studios in the United Kingdom and The Netherlands. The inward trade mission was organized by ANIEME (Spanish National Association of Furniture Manufacturers and Exporters) within the framework of the ICEX-ANIEME Furniture Industry Promotion Plan financially supported by ICEX (Spanish Foreign Trade Institute) and the Feder Funds.

The objective of this visit was to promote the Spanish furniture industry, with its variety of products, styles and ranges, among professionals of the interior and contract design sectors. With an approach focused on the equipment of hotels, public spaces and prestigious residences, the staff of ANIEME selected 3 studios from the United Kingdom and other 3 from The Netherlands. Although some of them had already worked with Spanish companies, having the chance to have a first-hand look at the factories, the manufacturing processes and all the possible product configurations offered is a great way of strengthening business relationships and gain mutual trust and understanding.
Starting from the visit to lighting manufacturer RIPERLAMP and chair specialist CAPDELL in the Valencia province, the interior designers were shown how products are adapted to suit the need of each client, adjusting to both major projects or more exclusive interior designs.
On the way to Barcelona, the group stopped at COLECCION ALEXANDRA to visit the facilities and experience the precious collections of the brand first-hand directly at Maria José Guillot showhouse. All of them were impressed by both the excellent quality of the interior design and the warm hospitality received.
In Barcelona, the group was brought to the Vincci Gala Hotel whose hall and staircase have been decorated with the impressive metal chains supplied by Catalonia-based KRISKADECOR. The company gave also an interesting presentation of their products and the outdoor and indoor architectural solutions provided for different national and international projects.
At the end of the 3-day mission, CASADESUS welcomed the group to its factory and later to the showroom where the CEO showed to the interior architects the brand’s top-quality sofas and seating collections, all of them available in different configurations and upholsteries to meet the taste of their international clientele. The great care of every single detail provides CASADESUS’s final products with a unique personality that is highly appreciated by the international audience.
The outcome of this experience was very positive for both the companies and the group of interior architects. They had the opportunity of visiting the factories of some of the biggest names of the Spanish furniture industry and get a better understanding of what goes on behind the scene: the manufacturing processes, the products and their finishes and the difficulties companies have to face while adapting production to new projects. This will surely strengthen the collaboration between companies and professionals who participated in the mission and have already shown their interest in introducing Spanish products in their next interior design projects.
