Feria Hábitat València 2025: Where Mediterranean Soul Meets Global Design

July 1 / 2025

As the golden light of early autumn falls on Valencia, the city once again becomes a magnet for the global design community. From 29 September to 2 October 2025, the city’s creative spirit and sun-drenched charm will provide the perfect setting for Feria Hábitat València, the most important event for the Spanish interiors industry. Against the backdrop of this Mediterranean capital of design, the fair promises an inspiring journey through innovation, style, and craftsmanship—where professionals meet, trends are born, and ideas come to life.

Together, they cement Hábitat’s reputation as the benchmark event for high-end decoration in southern Europe.

Contract 360º by Maderalia: An All-Round Vision for Hospitality Projects

New for 2025, Contract 360º by Maderalia brings together a carefully curated selection of around 60 exhibitors offering innovative materials, architectural surfaces, and technical solutions for the contract and hospitality sectors. Located adjacent to the HotelHábitat installation, this boutique-style area offers a multisectoral perspective on interiors.

Confirmed brands include Bariperfil and Emedec (wall coverings), Voolcan Contract Projects (project consultancy), Olivari (hardware), Puertas Castalla (interior design), and Sanycess (bathrooms). A highlight this year will be the participation of Porcelanosa Grupo, a global leader in ceramics and architectural solutions, showcasing its latest contract innovations in keeping with the spirit of this new space.

“Materialidad Consciente”, Conscious Materiality: Exploring Sustainable Surfaces

In collaboration with Matter and Material Bank, Feria Hábitat València 2025 presents “Materialidad Consciente”, a thought-provoking exhibition that explores the impact of materials on people and the environment. Curated by architects and consultants from Matter—a leading Spanish consultancy with offices in Barcelona, Madrid, and Sotogrande—the exhibition offers a journey through materials that promote wellbeing and sustainability.

Visitors can engage with carefully assembled material boards and request samples via Material Bank, the renowned digital platform operating in the USA, Europe, and Japan, which has revolutionised material sourcing for architecture and interior design worldwide.

HotelHábitat 2025: “Barracas” by Tomás Alía

One of the most anticipated features of the fair, HotelHábitat returns with a striking new concept designed by the celebrated Spanish architect and interior designer Tomás Alía. Titled “Barracas”, the installation pays tribute to the traditional barraca houses of the Valencian region—a form of vernacular architecture built with local materials, adapted to climate and lifestyle, and constructed by hand, reflecting community identity.

These simple yet climate-sensitive dwellings serve as the inspiration for a sustainable 800 m² hospitality project that blends natural aesthetics with cutting-edge contract design. Alongside a dramatic central lobby and auditorium, eight boutique hotel suites will be designed by leading Spanish interior designers including Pascua Ortega, Pepe Cosín, Luis Calabuig (Odosdesign), and HC Estudio. Each suite will incorporate furnishings, lighting, and materials from the fair’s exhibitors—merging tradition, innovation, and Mediterranean soul.

Retrospective Exhibition: 25 Years of Héctor Serrano

In a very special tribute, Feria Hábitat València 2025 will host a retrospective celebrating 25 years of acclaimed Valencian designer Héctor Serrano. Entitled “El viaje entremedias. 25 años conectando”, the exhibition presents nearly 100 works across multiple disciplines, offering a rare glimpse into Serrano’s creative vision—where memory, emotion, and innovation meet. From his beginnings in the nude platform to his recognition with the Spanish National Design Award, Serrano’s work continues to inspire across generations.

A Multifaceted Experience Awaits

Beyond the exhibition halls, Feria Hábitat València 2025 offers a vibrant schedule of parallel events. From the Nude showcase for young talent to Tempocraft, a new space dedicated to contemporary craftsmanship, and the 16th edition of Valencia Design Week, visitors can expect a rich calendar of talks, workshops, and curated experiences. Together, these events create a complete and inspiring experience that positions Spanish design at the heart of global conversation.
