Dominating one of the sides of the Plaza del Patriarca, a broad bright square in Valencia’s old town, Mar de Avellanas is one of the latest interiors created by Jaime Hayon. The growing business, originally established in 2010 in a narrow street next to the cathedral, required a bigger location as well as a new and different design concept. Three colours (red, green and white), comfortable seating and a motley décor with portraits, figurines and plates help building a fantastic space imbued with Mediterranean flavour, elegant but welcoming.
