Feria Habitat Valencia 2019: discover an array of brands within unique spaces
Feria Habitat Valencia, Spain’s leading platform and most important event for the home and commercial furniture industry, announces a full line up of exceptional design experiences for its 55th edition to be held in September, from the 17th to the 20th. The fair has already filled up all the fairground surface available expanding to more than 65,000 square meters, +40% in relation to the previous’ year event, and hosting more than 500 exhibitors.
This exceptional growth is due to the fact that this year returning exhibitors are taking larger spaces and to the increase in the number of new exhibitors, 158 new companies that have already registered and did not take part in the last editions. In response to the higher demand of exhibiting space and in order to keep up with the needs of the interior design industry, the offering has been rearranged by adding two further halls.
Hábitat Valencia 2019: a special focus on design
A significant number of the newcomers, 56 in all, will be hosted in the Design Hall which will occupy two halls, 1 and 2, on Level 3. In this sector, Spanish and international designer furniture manufacturers will be exhibiting the very best of their most attractive and innovative products for both home and commercial use.
The offering will include also exclusive content, such as the Salón Nude, the Spanish young talents’ showcase that this year will bring together twelve designers and design practices alongside seven universities and schools of design, themed exhibits and a lecture and activity zone, the Agorá Nude Forum.
The number of exhibitors in this sector has doubled in relation to 2018, including Spain’s big names of the Spanish design industry and the five companies that were awarded the Spanish National Design Awards, the highest recognition in Spain for design and innovation: PUNT MOBLES, METALARTE, ANDREU WORLD, AKABA and ACTIU.
Heavyweights encompass also Spanish key players GANDIA BLASCO, CAPDELL, BIVAQ, CARMENES, EXPORMIM, INCLASS, ONDARRETA, POINT, CASADESUS, TREKU, VICCARBE, VONDOM and a selection of international brands (Stellar Works, Brokis, Magis, Emu, Cattelan Italia, Santa Lucia Mobili, Lapalma…) which have shown a considerable interest in the Spanish market and the professional audience invited to the fair.
One of the standouts of this sector, apart from its attractive offer of designer products, will be surely the retrospective exhibition of works by Ramón Esteve. Designed by the architect and industrial designer himself, the exhibition will feature an extensive selection of iconic pieces created by the Spanish designer for different Spanish and international brands during his professional career.
Contemporary Sector: spotlight on new trends and furnishing styles
Featuring 65 new exhibitors, the Contemporary sector proves to be one of the most dynamic with an offering that will surely wow visitors for its quality and variety.
The contemporary market segment is investing heavily in the Valencia show, considering it as the best showcase to set trends and launch new collections for the home and commercial segments.
Spanish leading manufacturers of furniture for dining and living rooms and bedrooms will be hosted on Level 2, across three halls. Brands include FENICIA MOBILIARIO, FRANCO FURNITURE, DUGARHOME, DUPEN, EQCO, ROS1, TREBOL and GARCIA SABATÉ.
The upholstery sector is gaining space and relevance with companies such as FAMA, GAMAMOBEL, ACOMODEL, PEDRO ORTIZ, DIVANI STAR and SUINTA and their rich and attractive offer of sofas and lounge furniture.
Haute Décor Pavillion: when the best tradition meets innovation
As usual, every year Valencia welcomes the finest high-end décor suppliers, showcasing a diverse selection of quality products across the interior design world. It is worth remembering that the Hábitat is the only fair in Spain that features a dedicated section for this market segment, with exhibitors including the biggest names in style and luxury. Just to name a few: COLECCIÓN ALEXANDRA, SOHER, GUADARTE, AMBOAN, HURTADO, TECNI NOVA and PICÓ.
In this section, Makassar ebony, walnut, mahogany wood, as well as natural veneers, enhanced by precious inlays, gold and silver leaf decorations and eye-catching fabrics, will be sharing the scene with sophisticated art deco-inspired collections and more contemporary lines.
