Feria Hábitat València 2024: the heart of design beats in Spain
As the sun sets over Valencia in late September, the city transforms into a vibrant hub of creativity and design. Known for its stunning architecture, rich cultural heritage, and beautiful Mediterranean beaches, Valencia offers an irresistible backdrop for the most important Spanish event of the interior design industry, the Feria Hábitat València. From 30th September to 3rd October 2024, Valencia will once again become the epicentre of European design, bringing together visionaries, creators, and enthusiasts from across the globe. A showcase of innovation and design
Feria Hábitat Valencia is the premier international showcase of the Spanish habitat industry, featuring a diverse array of furniture, lighting, decoration, upholstery, and bedding. In its last edition, the fair brought together more than 600 national and international firms and attracted over 45,000 professional visitors from 70 countries. Feria Hábitat promises to be more than just a fair this year. It offers a complete experience for visitors seeking inspiration and innovation. With various forums, the fair will host leading professionals from the fields of innovation, design, interior design, architecture, and market trends.
During the same period, Feria Valencia will host other significant international events such as Textilhogar Home Textiles Premium and Espacio Cocina SICI. These events are expected to gather nearly a thousand exhibiting firms across a vast exhibition area of over 90,000 square metres, occupying eight pavilions on Levels 2 and 3 of Feria Valencia.
Exhibitors 2024: an expanding showcase
This year, Feria Hábitat València will host an impressive lineup of exhibitors. With a total of 625 brands and firms represented, the fair promises to be a comprehensive showcase of the latest trends and innovations. The fair will have a strong international presence, with 21% of exhibitors coming from foreign countries such as Germany, Belgium, Bulgaria, France, Greece, Italy, Lithuania, Mexico, the Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, the United Kingdom, and Turkey. The remaining 79% of exhibitors are Spanish, highlighting the strength and diversity of the local industry.
Prominent Spanish companies will further enhance the overall showcase by offering exceptional, high-quality products. The pavilions on Level 3 will host some of the best brands in the Spanish design furniture industry, including ACTIU, ANDREU WORLD, ALEXANDRA, EXPORMIM, VONDOM, GANDIABLASCO, CAPDELL, INCLASS, OMELETTE, VICCARBE, ONDARRETA, VICALHOME and TREKU, among many others. These exhibitors will present the latest creations and solutions for both interior and exterior design from top designers such as Patricia Urquiola, Christophe Pillet, Eugeni Quitllet, Ramón Esteve, Jaime Hayón, Mario Ruiz, Yonoh, estudi{h}ac, Francesco Meda, David Quincoces, Luca Nichetto, Alfredo Häberli, Perezochando, MUT Design, Sebastian Herckner, and Note Studio, just to name a few.
From a commercial perspective, the zones dedicated to contemporary decoration, upholstered furniture, and bedding products located on Level 2 are expected to be some of the fair’s main highlights. These segments will shine brightly in the upcoming edition, showcasing an extraordinary range of contemporary offerings that encompass diverse styles and emerging trends. The presence of prestigious sector leaders such as FRANCO FURNITURE, ROS, ROMERO, THAI NATURA, and FAMA will further elevate their prominence within this dynamic and ever-evolving industry. The bedding sector will be represented by major international brands such as DUPEN, GOMARCO, and FORMAS DESCANSO.
A comprehensive offering in an expansive exhibition space
Feria Hábitat València 2024 will feature an expansive exhibition area, totalling 78,000 square metres, alongside 6,000 square metres for Textilhogar Home Textiles Premium and 12,000 square metres for Espacio Cocina SICI. Attendees can expect an extraordinary display of innovative designs and imaginative ideas, with a diverse selection of furniture, lighting, decoration, upholstery, and bedding products that cater to a wide range of tastes.
The fair highlights design, innovation, and sustainability, with furniture collections showcasing cutting-edge materials and eco-friendly solutions. From recyclable PET fibres to renewable raw materials, the industry embraces forward-thinking approaches. Digital and voice-assisted mechanisms further enhance functionality, demonstrating the Spanish furniture industry’s commitment to creating sustainable design solutions.
New pavilion for decoration and interior design
Feria Hábitat València 2024 introduces a new pavilion dedicated to the Decoration and Interior Design sector for both indoor and outdoor spaces. Spanning over 10,000 square metres in Pavilion 2 / Level 2, this space will bring together leading national and international firms in the industry.
This segment holds special significance for furniture and decoration stores, as well as interior designers and project professionals. Visitors will find an extensive selection of accessories, lighting, artwork, auxiliary furniture, outdoor pieces, and gift items. Notable brands like Kodu by Vical, Richmond Interiors, Thai Natura, Andrea Bizzotto, Schuller, Taller de Indias, and Brucs have already confirmed their participation, showcasing their latest offerings.
Feria Hábitat València and Héctor Ruiz-Velázquez: a unique hotel experience
One of the most exciting initiatives this year is the Hotel Hábitat València, a visionary installation designed by renowned architect Héctor Ruiz-Velázquez. This innovative concept highlights the best of the Spanish habitat industry, with a strong focus on sustainability.
The ‘Hotel Hábitat València’ will feature various spaces that mimic contemporary hotel settings, including rooms with exhibitor products, a grand hall and reception area, a library, a spa and pool area, a bar, and a conference zone. Utilising over 500 square metres, this installation incorporates sustainable materials such as recycled cardboard, chipboard panels, and Valencian clay.
The collaboration between Feria Hábitat València and the Instituto Tecnológico Hotelero (ITH, Hotel Technology Institute) aims to gather the hotel industry under one roof, demonstrating the Spanish habitat industry’s potential in the contract sector.
Inspiring events: a multifaceted experience at Feria Hábitat València 2024
Beyond the main exhibition, attendees will have the opportunity to immerse themselves in a series of parallel design-oriented events, including engaging workshops and captivating talks and presentations. Alongside the NUDE Salon for emerging talents and the 15th Valencia Design Week, this comprehensive programme of complementary events enriches the overall experience, ensuring visitors feel inspired and well-informed about the latest trends and developments in the design world. A series of events will highlight Spanish design and its most iconic products.
