iSiMAR opens a new showroom in NYC and wins the #MetropolisLikes NYCxDesign 2020 Award for the ARENA Collection

For the 8^th consecutive year, Metropolis editors have selected the best products available this autumn to interiors designers and architects, in a tightly curated awards program known as #MetropolisLikes. The 32 winners of the 2020 #MetropolisLikes NYCxDESIGN awards include offerings for the home, workspaces, hotels and hospitals with a special attention to environmental consciousness, sustainability and accessibility.

With the ongoing pandemic, smart, beautiful spaces are now more appreciated than ever before. That’s why the product selection has been made taking into consideration design solutions which are sensitive to human needs – whether it is accessibility for those with limited mobility or visual comfort and biophilia to support mental health. Many of the products also bear verified sustainability credentials in the form of certifications or carbon-neutral manufacturing processes, which means they are good for both people and the planet.

A perfect balance between modern & retro styles, the ARENA collection responds perfectly to the 2020 #MetropolisLikes NYCxDESIGN approach as all pieces are 100% recycled and recyclable, and therefore environmentally responsible.

Inspired by the Mediterranean landscape, the perforations on its surfaces simulate sand ripples on Mediterranean beaches. The materials are galvanized steel and aluminium, which are durable and weather-resistant – making the collection suitable for intense use in the outdoors and indoors. ARENA includes a sofa, an armchair, a dining table, a coffee table, space dividers and a planter.
