Maison & Objet Paris 2018: a great showcase for Spanish furniture & design brands
Staying true to its imaginative spirit and cultural legacy, in January Paris turns itself into the hub of modern creativity, fashion and above all design. From the 19th to the 23rd of January, the city is home to one of the major events of the interior design industry: the Maison & Objet Paris, which is held, as usual, at the Paris Nord Villepinte Exhibition Centre.
The five-day trade show has been reorganized into three main areas that, through a true sensorial experience, facilitate the sourcing of new products and inspirations: MAISON, for everything regarding interior decorations, such as furniture, textiles and lighting; OBJET, a concept store for small gadgets and design products, ideal for retailers; and the new INFLUENCES that encompasses the brightest in the world of home décor, design and lifestyle.
Spread over many sectors, the 19 brands that make up the Spanish contingent will offer a unique itinerary to style and creativity. As figures reveal, Spanish furniture is highly appreciated by French consumers and professionals of the interior design industry, who are particularly fond of the playful appeal of Spains’ designs as well as of their versatility and diversity.
France consolidates itself as Spain’s largest export market for furnishing products, receiving 401 million euros of Spain’s furniture exports in the period January-September 2017. France’s share of Spain’s exports (25.0%) is higher than Portugal’s, Germany’s and UK’s combined.
At the Maison & Objet, Spanish exhibitors take the opportunity to meet with their clients, introduce them to their new products, and establish new trade opportunities, strengthening their presence in the market. The event is also an unparalleled showcase to present new products and launch innovative solutions and concepts for residential, commercial, hotel and restaurant developments.
