Maison & Objet Paris 2019: SKYLINE DESIGN, passion for outdoor furniture
Founded in 2001, SKYLINE DESIGN is a family-run business specialized in manufacturing luxury outdoor furniture for terraces, pool areas, restaurants and resorts. The brand is worldwide recognized for their outstanding daybeds which can be found in a large number of projects, both private and contract. Together with private villas and residences, SKYLINE DESIGN offers bespoke solutions to the main international hotel chains such as Hyatt, Sheraton, Marriot or Hilton, among many others.
The firm offers high quality furniture made of revolutionary synthetic fibers that are chemical and UV resistant and all-weather proof, long-lasting aluminium frames resistant to corrosion and blistering and the stunning Sunbrella fabrics. Outdoor cushions are filled with high-grade polyurethane foam which maintains shape, comfort and durability. These components, together with the handmade finishes, give as a result exclusive pieces which are eco-friendly and accomplish to bring outdoor spaces to life.
Let’s have a look to the new collections the Spanish SKYLINE DESIGN will be showcasing at the forthcoming edition of MAISON & OBJET PARIS (January 18-22, 2019):
JOURNEY Hanging Chair. A brand new piece has been added to the, already large, JOURNEY collection: a stylish hanging chair. Together with the dining bench, different models of coffee tables, barstool, daybed, table, sofa and armchair, this new hanging chair completes the collection adding an original, unique piece perfect to relax within a contemporary space. An essential must-have thanks to its star-shape weaving and its soft rounded silhouette. One more reason for the iconic JOURNEY collection to be one of the best-sellers of the brand.
BANDIDO Collection & SURABAYA Daybed by Santiago Sevillano. The renowned Spanish designer Santiago Sevillano enlarges SKYLINE DESIGN’s catalogue with these two new additions.
As its name indicates, BANDIDO, meaning bandit, shows personality and character, attracting everyone’s attention. The minimalism of the design of loungers, sofas and chairs, contracts with the original detail of the woven surrounding the seat. Synonym with versatility, BANDIDO perfectly adapts to different spaces and styles, both for home and contract use.
The SURABAYA Daybed is the other iconic piece designed by the Spanish Santiago Sevillano for the brand. SURABAYA is not just a daybed but a refuge, a haven evoking a palm leaf that curves to provide shade. In spite of its important dimensions, the draft of its embracing woven makes it lighter and airier than could be expected. An intimate daybed designed to cheer up your life in the outdoors.
KONA Collection. With KONA the company introduces a sophisticated collection aimed at standing out from the crowd. The original, versatile pieces (living set, daybed, dining set) will perfectly adapt to any outdoor space offering a contemporary and timeless look. The visual lightness is provided by the distinctive knotted rope weaving while the sinuous aluminum structures give the strength needed. The carbon lacquer and the anthracite rope emphasize the timeless appearance.
