Summer inspirations: BIVAQ presents the new 2018 catalogue
Outdoor furniture might once have meant plastic dining sets and easy-wipe cushions, but new garden set-ups prove that’s definitely no longer the case. BIVAQ joins current trends launching a new catalogue that puts together the most iconic collections of the brand and the newest products launched at the latest edition of the Salone in Milan.

From stylish outdoor dining sets and modular sofas to retro-inspired lounge pieces and accessories that beautifully complement furniture, the catalogue offers a trove of solutions that allows a seamless transition from home living spaces to the outdoors.
With its focus always placed on furniture that looks like it was created for the indoors, BIVAQ has opted for a new contemporary design of clean, simple lines and a timeless appeal that doesn’t fade away with the passage of time. This is the real differentiating factor of the brand and what makes its furniture stand out in the market.
Outdoor living rooms
Some of the latest BIVAQ’s collections are so stylish and comfortable that can be used to extend the boundaries of your home creating an outdoor room where you can sit, relax and entertain people. In spaces like this, comfy, versatile lounge furniture should be a priority allowing to create both small focal points or multiple areas.
That’s the case of the MOOD XL collection, a redesign by Andrés Bluth of the former Mood collection that is presented now with improved comfort and features:
- wider and higher seat modules (89X42cm) that enhance the look of the collection while providing it with greater comfort;
- the Soft Cover System, designed to avoid hard corners and uncomfortable edges while making the furniture more pleasant to the touch and to use.
The collection, which includes a central module, corner modules, footrest modules, a pouffe, a low table and an armchair, can be configured in different ways to perfectly adapt to spaces and fit into any public or private environment.
Thanks to the exclusive Screen Cover system, all the materials (frames, upholsteries, fabrics) are 100% waterproof and resistant to atmospheric agents and sunlight.
Outdoor dining and lounging furniture
Summer is the season for long, luxurious meals in the open air and whether you have a patio, terrace, or plenty of green space, the BIVAQ’s catalogue offers a choice of solutions that surely set the scene for great alfresco entertaining. Dining sets are complemented by comfortable lounge furniture specifically designed to improve the functionality and the appeal of spaces.
ILLA, the new collection designed by André Bluth, for example, has all you need to bring indoor elegance and style to outdoor spaces without sacrificing comfort and durability, which are other hallmarks of the brand.
Rod and cylindrical tubes have been used to achieve smooth, flowing shapes that provide environments with a relaxing yet elegant look.
The collection includes dining armchairs (in two versions: with or without upholstered backrest), chairs, coffee and side tables, round and square dining tables and a fire pit. Dining tables come with tops made of compact HPL, iroko wood or DEKTON®.
The fire pit, which is offered in black with a customisable central base, has been added to create even warmer, welcoming ambiences. Adding a heat source to your outdoor area will increase the amount of time you can spend enjoying it.
The NAK family has been enlarged to include the NAK65 2,3, and 4-seater sofas that have been specifically designed to meet the requirements of the hospitality sector when space optimisation is needed. The 65cm-deep seat makes this sofa suitable for use in both dining areas and small spaces, such as terraces and balconies. Depending on its use, the backrest can be 47 cm high (dining sofa) or 42 cm high (lounge sofa).
With its structure made of extruded aluminium coated with polyester paint, the NAK65 sofa can be used indoor or outdoor. It can be beautifully complemented by the ILLA tables and chairs.
Another valuable addition to the catalogue is the CLUB chair that features an aluminium structure with a seat made of an ultra-resistant vinytex fabrics. It has been designed to easily adapt to multiple environments when comfort and affordability are a priority. It matches perfectly with the DATS dining table allowing to create charming, comfortable dining spaces.
Customisation: new finishes
The catalogue offers an ample spectrum of contemporary colours (mustard, gold, peach grey, silver, turquoise, olive green and other mineral tones) that can be combined with other new finishes, such as the ultracompact Dekton surfaces and a range of attractive contemporary and vintage fabrics. Cushions are upholstered with either mass-coloured acrylic fabrics or vinytex and include a waterproof layer.
Other collections included in the catalogue are VINT, SIT, NUDE and DATS.
