Located in Aliso Viejo, in the heart of Southern Orange County, City Lights Apartments represent a contemporary residential community where architecture, landscape and lifestyle converge. Recently renovated, the development offers a range of resort-style amenities, including a swimming pool and spa, poolside lounges and cabanas, dining and barbecue areas, fitness facilities and coworking spaces. Conceived by CDC Designs, the project responds to the expectations of modern urban living by creating communal environments that encourage relaxation, interaction and a strong sense of community.

Within the redesigned outdoor areas, EXPORMIM contributes a distinctive Mediterranean design sensibility through the inclusion of the OBI double daybed. Positioned around the pool, the piece provides residents with a comfortable and refined seating solution that enhances the resort-like character of the development. The OBI daybed exemplifies EXPORMIM’s crossover approach to furniture design, combining indoor levels of comfort with the durability required for outdoor use. Its presence within the project demonstrates how carefully selected furniture can elevate shared residential spaces, offering architects and interior designers an inspiring example of how design-led outdoor furnishings can foster both wellbeing and community engagement.
