Clerkenwell Design Week 2026: Natural Fibre Rugs and Textural Surfaces by NATURTEX
There is renewed interest in interiors that feel grounded in material authenticity. At this year’s edition of the Clerkenwell Design Week, Spanish company NATURTEX will present a collection of rugs, fabrics and technical surfaces shaped by that idea: tactile materials, visible craftsmanship and natural fibres used with precision rather than ornament.
Established in 1993 in Crevillente, one of Spain’s historic textile centres, NATURTEX has built its reputation around natural-fibre fabrics and rugs designed for contemporary residential and contract interiors. Sisal, raffia, leather, cellulose, linen and cotton define collections that combine tactile richness with durability and versatility across hospitality, retail, workspace and residential projects.
At Clerkenwell Design Week 2026, the company will showcase new surfaces and textures developed for flooring, wall applications, upholstery and lighting, where artisan techniques meet technical performance. The presentation reflects a growing demand for interiors shaped by warmth, material continuity and long-lasting design solutions.

CIUDADELA Rug | NATURTEX
CIUDADELA Rug | Rhythm Through Natural Sisal
Texture often works best when it is restrained. The CIUDADELA rug demonstrates this through a herringbone weave that creates movement and depth without dominating the space. As light shifts across the surface, the pattern subtly changes character, bringing visual rhythm to interiors while preserving a calm architectural language.

Made from 100% natural sisal with a latex backing, CIUDADELA balances material honesty with contract-ready performance. Optional flame-retardant and stain-resistant finishes extend its suitability to hospitality and commercial environments, while its 6 mm thickness and solid underfoot feel make it equally effective in residential settings.

Available as rugs, wall-to-wall carpet, runners or stair applications, CIUDADELA is particularly suited to projects seeking continuity across multiple surfaces and zones. The result is a flooring solution that feels tactile, durable and visually grounded.
CAIRO Technical Fabric | Leather, Jute and Sisal in Dialogue
Some textiles rely on colour for impact. CAIRO relies on composition. Handmade using leather, jute and sisal, the fabric develops richness through the contrast between fibres, densities and finishes rather than overt pattern.

CAIRO Technical Fabric | NATURTEX
Its blend of leather (48%), jute (20%), sisal (18%) and additional fibres creates a surface with pronounced texture and depth. The material feels crafted rather than manufactured, making it particularly relevant for interiors where tactility plays a central role in the spatial experience.

Designed for upholstery, wall coverings, decorative panels and lighting applications, CAIRO adapts naturally to both residential and contract projects. Available in tones including Coffee, Tobacco, Taupe, Arancio and Grey, the palette reinforces the material-led identity of the collection while allowing designers to work comfortably across warm neutral schemes and more atmospheric interiors.
LEATHER SENSE A-3008 Technical Fabric | Woven Texture and Contract Performance
Leather-look materials continue to evolve beyond conventional contract applications. LEATHER SENSE A-3008 explores this territory through a surface that combines the appearance of a handwoven textile with the resilience of a high-performance technical fabric.

Made from 100% polyurethane, the collection offers abrasion resistance together with stain- and fire-resistant properties required for demanding commercial environments. What distinguishes the material, however, is its woven visual structure, which softens the technical character often associated with performance surfaces.

Available in a range of earthy tones, Leather Sense A-3008 opens possibilities for wall coverings, decorative panels, lighting features and bespoke interior applications where designers require both durability and tactile visual depth.
A-3082 Technical Fabric | Cellulose Texture with Architectural Versatility
Natural-looking surfaces increasingly play a defining role in contemporary interiors, particularly in projects seeking warmth without visual heaviness. A-3082 approaches this through a medium-scale basketweave texture developed entirely from cellulose.

The fabric combines an organic appearance with technical practicality, offering stain and fire resistance alongside a soft, natural visual language. Its basketweave structure introduces subtle dimension while maintaining enough neutrality to work across multiple architectural contexts.

Suitable for blinds, wall coverings, panels and lighting applications, A-3082 performs especially well in interiors where layered textures and filtered light contribute to the atmosphere of the space. The result is a versatile material that supports calm, tactile environments while meeting the practical requirements of contract specifications.

Naturtex moodboards: each composition is a starting point — a conversation between textures, colours and matter that eventually becomes a product…
For visitors to Clerkenwell Design Week, Naturtex presents a collection shaped around material integrity, technical functionality and tactile design. Rather than following short-term decorative trends, the company focuses on surfaces and textiles designed to age naturally within contemporary interiors — offering architects, interior designers and specifiers durable solutions for hospitality, workspace and residential projects where texture, warmth and authenticity remain central to the spatial experience.
