Orgatec 2026: ARIDI builds on its design legacy with new workspace systems
Furniture can do more than furnish a workplace. It can help determine how people meet, concentrate, exchange ideas and organise their day. This is the thinking behind ARIDI’s Workspace Design Tools philosophy: a view of furniture as a quiet infrastructure that supports the activities and relationships taking place around it.
Founded in Girona in 1979, ARIDI designs and manufactures furniture for offices and contract environments. The company is now part of Vergés, another Spanish furniture manufacturer with a long-standing presence in the contract sector. Its approach combines the precision of industrial design with an appreciation of materials, craftsmanship and lasting functionality. Rather than treating each piece as an isolated object, ARIDI develops systems that can adapt to different working patterns and spatial requirements.
At Orgatec 2026, the company presented a new chapter in its development. Under the artistic direction of Jordi Vayreda, ARIDI has been developing new products, reviewing existing models and bringing back significant designs from its history with a contemporary perspective. The collection brings together two designers closely associated with the brand’s past, Pete Sans and Gabriel Teixidó, alongside new creations by Vayreda and the ARIDI team. The result is a dialogue between design heritage and current workplace needs, expressed through four distinct programmes.

ARIDI.01 workstation system: Pete Sans’s Classroom design revisited
ARIDI.01 revisits the Classroom system originally designed by Pete Sans, bringing its structural clarity and carefully judged proportions into a contemporary workplace context. The updated programme retains the original emphasis on resource optimisation and adaptability, while introducing polished stainless steel as a distinctive material detail.

Its versatility lies in the range of configurations it can accommodate, from individual workstations and executive desks to meeting tables and collaborative settings.

The system is conceived to respond to different architectural layouts, allowing furniture to be arranged around the needs of each space rather than imposing a single way of working.
ARIDI.02 table programme: Gabriel Teixidó’s design in a new context
With ARIDI.02, the work of Gabriel Teixidó returns to the collection in an updated form. The programme is defined by wooden legs with a circular section and a slight inclination, joined by metal components that provide structural support while becoming an integral part of the design.

This combination gives the tables a light, distinctive appearance. The programme can accommodate individual workstations as well as shared configurations, with separating elements available to define different areas within a larger space.

A choice of materials and finishes allows the system to be adapted to a variety of interior schemes.
ARIDI.03 table system: defined structures for focused work
Designed by Jordi Vayreda, ARIDI.03 takes a more geometric approach. Rectangular metal frames, slender profiles and clean lines establish an essential structure, while colour adds another layer of expression to the tabletops and frames.

The programme also incorporates upholstered dividers, which help define individual work areas within shared environments.

These elements introduce a degree of visual separation without losing the overall coherence of the system, making ARIDI.03 suitable for workspaces where personal focus and a sense of connection need to coexist.
ARIDI.04 modular office table: softer forms for more welcoming workspaces
ARIDI.04 explores a different design language, built around softer contours and organic shapes. Also developed under Jordi Vayreda’s direction, the programme uses wood to bring warmth to the workspace, balancing its contemporary character with a more welcoming feel.

The tables can be used individually or combined into shared compositions, with separating elements offering further possibilities for organising the space.

This flexibility makes the programme suitable for settings that need to accommodate different activities while maintaining a comfortable, approachable atmosphere.
A new chapter rooted in design experience
ARIDI’s presentation at Orgatec 2026 marked a new chapter for the brand, bringing together updated designs by Pete Sans and Gabriel Teixidó with new proposals by Jordi Vayreda.
The four programmes offer architects and interior designers versatile furniture systems for creating contemporary workspaces, combining a strong design heritage with practical solutions for the way people work and meet today.
