Orgatec 2026: Ojmar makes locker access part of the smart workplace
A locker may seem like a small part of a workplace, but the way people access and manage shared storage can have a surprisingly large impact on how a space works. At Orgatec 2026, Spanish company OJMAR will showcase two of its intelligent locking systems, OTS 40 Batteryless and OCS 30 Smart, offering different approaches to secure, convenient locker access in offices and other shared environments.
OJMAR specialises in intelligent locking systems for lockers, combining its own technology with software and services for different types of facilities, from corporate workplaces and education to fitness, healthcare and retail. The company develops and manufactures its products in-house at its factory in Spain, controlling the process from product development and manufacturing through to commissioning and after-sales service. Its systems are designed to integrate with existing infrastructures, including access control and workplace management systems, while its software provides centralised administration and usage data.

OTS 40 Batteryless: smart locker access powered by people
What makes the OTS 40 Batteryless Locking System different is surprisingly simple: it does not need a battery or wiring to operate. OJMAR’s human-powered smart locker lock generates the energy it needs when the user presses the lock, eliminating battery replacement cycles and the need for power or data cabling at the locker. The result is a simpler installation and less ongoing maintenance, while reducing the waste associated with batteries.

But batteryless does not mean disconnected. OTS 40 Batteryless combines RFID and NFC access with wireless connectivity to Ojmar Cloud, allowing users to access lockers with cards, fobs or smartphones while facility teams can manage the system centrally. Locker status and activity can be monitored in real time, users and permissions can be managed remotely, and access data can be used to understand occupancy, demand and usage patterns.

For contemporary workplaces, this makes the system particularly relevant to the way shared storage is being used. A locker can be assigned as a day locker for hybrid employees, allocated permanently to an individual or shared by a team or project group. The system can also integrate with workplace management and access-control systems through open APIs and SDKs, allowing lockers to form part of the wider digital infrastructure rather than operate as a standalone element.
OCS 30 Smart: keypad and smartphone access in one lock
With OCS 30 Smart, OJMAR brings two ways of accessing the same locker into a single locking system. The lock combines a durable touch keypad with Bluetooth smartphone access, allowing projects to choose keypad use, smartphone access or a combination of both. It can also be configured for shared or personal use, making it suitable for different patterns of locker use within contemporary workplaces.

The system is designed with everyday use in mind. Its flat touch keypad is easy to clean, while Bluetooth allows users to unlock their locker from a smartphone. OCS 30 also supports fixed, free and rental modes, and its battery can last for up to five years depending on use and configuration. An SDK is available for integration with a client’s own app, allowing locker access to form part of a wider digital workplace ecosystem.

For offices and other shared environments, this combination of access methods offers a practical advantage: the technology can accommodate different users and different ways of managing lockers without requiring a separate locking system for each situation. Its universal design fits both left- and right-opening doors, while IP55 and IK09 protection ratings support use in demanding indoor environments.

Smart lockers for contemporary workspaces
For workplaces and contract projects, OJMAR’s intelligent locker systems offer a practical way to support shared storage without adding unnecessary complexity to the space. OTS 40 Batteryless can simplify installation and reduce battery-related maintenance, while OCS 30 Smart gives users a choice of keypad or smartphone access. Both can be integrated into wider workplace systems, making them particularly relevant to flexible offices and other shared environments where storage needs to be secure, easy to manage and responsive to different patterns of use. See both systems at Orgatec 2026 and discover how intelligent locker technology can support the way contemporary spaces are used.
