Salone del Mobile.Milano 2026: Spanish Furniture that Balances Comfort and Impact in Contemporary Spaces
Informal, multi-use interiors continue to define both residential and hospitality projects. Spaces are expected to shift function throughout the day, requiring furniture that is adaptable, durable and visually clear without becoming intrusive. Current design directions favour softened geometries, compact proportions and materials that combine tactile quality with technical performance.
Spanish contemporary brands respond with a balanced approach, combining manufacturing expertise with a sharp understanding of evolving aesthetics. Curved silhouettes, ceramic and solid wood surfaces, and carefully considered use of colour define collections that move easily across typologies. The result is a cohesive offer of tables, seating and rest systems that integrate naturally into different environments while delivering reliability for professionals and comfort for everyday living.

HORTA Table. By Mobliberica Design Team. MOBLIBERICA
Technical precision and sculptural presence come together in HORTA, a central-base table defined by its distinctive vertical structure. The design takes its name from Victor Horta, the Belgian architect known for pioneering Art Nouveau through the expressive use of iron and organic lines—an influence reinterpreted here in a contemporary, architectural form.

The slotted aluminium column introduces rhythm and depth, acting as both structure and visual feature. Its non-circular steel base reinforces stability while giving the table a recognisable profile. Available in multiple heights—from low lounge settings to dining and bar formats—HORTA adapts easily across residential, hospitality and workspace environments, indoors and outdoors.

The ceramic top, a signature of MOBLIBERICA, adds a layer of performance. Resistant, easy to maintain and available in a wide spectrum of finishes, it positions HORTA as a practical solution for high-traffic interiors without compromising on material presence.
BALANCE Table. By Casual Design Team. CASUAL
A new creation by CASUAL, BALANCE is built around a clear visual idea: structure as composition. Its central column, formed by vertically arranged turned wood elements, creates a sense of equilibrium and movement, giving the piece a distinctive architectural character.

The combination of materials adds depth: solid beech or oak introduces warmth, while the black lacquered metal base provides contrast and structural clarity. The top, available in wood, laminate or porcelain, allows the table to respond to different functional and aesthetic requirements.

Available in two sizes—Ø80 cm x 75 cm height and Ø50 cm x 45 cm height—BALANCE works across dining, lounge and occasional settings, particularly where space is limited but character remains essential.
COLMAR Sofa. ORMO’S
COLMAR is built around durability and consistent comfort, addressing the demands of both residential and contract environments. Its structure, made entirely from high-quality pine wood, provides a solid and reliable framework.

The suspension system combines reinforced zig-zag springs with NEA webbing, ensuring balanced support and long-term resilience. Seat cushions in high-resilience foam maintain their shape and performance over time, even under intensive use.

The system allows for customisation in dimensions and finishes, enabling it to adapt to different layouts and interior schemes. The restrained design language of this new model by ORMO’S makes it a flexible component within a wide range of projects.
HUG Sofa. By Karim Rashid. NISI FAMILY
Why should a sofa be neutral? HUG rejects that premise. Designed by Karim Rashid for NISI FAMILY, it embraces colour, volume and emotion as core design tools. Its rounded silhouette wraps around the user, creating an immediate sense of enclosure and comfort.

The geometry is soft but deliberate. Inflated volumes and continuous curves transform the sofa into a sculptural element capable of defining a space rather than simply occupying it. It is seating that invites interaction—both visually and physically.

Colour amplifies the effect. Bright, saturated tones shift the atmosphere of the room, introducing energy and warmth. HUG is particularly suited to projects where identity matters—hospitality, creative workspaces or residential interiors seeking a strong focal point.
EGIO Dining Table. BRUCS
EGIO, the new dining table by BRUCS, balances solidity and lightness through material and form. Crafted from European oak (Roble Albar) and white poplar (Álamo blanco), both FSC-certified, the table highlights the natural qualities of the wood—grain, knots and tonal variation—making each piece unique.

The base is composed of intersecting curved planes that create a central sculptural volume. This structure interacts with light, generating depth and subtle movement, while supporting a top that appears to float above it.

Available in three versions—round, rectangular and rectangular high—EGIO adapts to different spatial contexts, from residential dining rooms to hospitality settings where material authenticity and a calm, architectural presence are required.
ELEGANCE Mattress. KARIBIAN DESCANSO
ELEGANCE is developed to deliver consistent performance through a structured layering system. Its pocket spring core provides independent support, adapting to movement and improving sleep stability—particularly relevant in shared or high-turnover environments.

The upper layers combine Gel Therm foam, viscoelastic material and HR Breeze foam, offering pressure relief, breathability and resilience. A reinforced perimeter ensures stability across the full surface, maintaining comfort over time.

With Oeko-Tex certification, the mattress, one of the latest launches by Spanish specialist KARIBIAN Descanso, meets current standards for material safety and user wellbeing. It is designed for both professional settings and private use, where durability and comfort are equally important.
Across tables, seating and rest systems, these Spanish brands present a coherent approach to contemporary interiors: adaptable designs, honest materials and solutions that perform in everyday use. Their collections respond equally well to the needs of design professionals and private users, offering pieces that combine visual identity, comfort and long-term reliability—best experienced first-hand in Milan.
