Maison&Objet Paris 2026: VICAL Presents an Eclectic Vision of Contemporary Living
How can furniture shape not only spaces, but also the way we experience them? At Maison&Objet Paris 2026, VICAL explores this idea through a scenographic installation that places design, atmosphere and materiality at the centre of the experience. Founded in 1950 and based in L’Ollería, Valencia, the furniture and décor brand continues to evolve from its artisanal roots towards a more expressive and contemporary design language.
Rather than following a traditional catalogue-driven layout, VICAL proposes an eclectic exhibition conceived as a sequence of curated atmospheres. Sculptural curves guide the architecture of the stand, shaping arches, flowing lines and rounded volumes that reappear across furniture and objects—most notably in the soft, enveloping silhouettes of the sofas. Within this fluid setting, contrasting aesthetic sensibilities coexist: rustic textures and natural materials sit alongside the modern forms, colour accents and sculptural pieces from the new VICALDESIGN line. The result is an immersive space where materials, styles and shapes intersect freely, encouraging professionals to explore new combinations beyond conventional typologies.

PÈTRIA Collection, by Pep Gramage
Born from the dramatic landscape of Reynisfjara, on Iceland’s southern coast, PÈTRIA translates the poetry of volcanic nature into furniture with a strong sculptural soul. Inspired by basalt columns, deep shadows and primal geometries, the collection captures the essence of ancient landscapes through solid, restrained forms that integrate into interiors like timeless fragments of the earth.

The central dining table stands as the collection’s anchor: a single, robust column supports a generous tabletop, evoking basalt pillars rising from the ground. Its apparent simplicity conceals a carefully balanced design that allows visual lightness and spatial flow, while maintaining a powerful presence that invites gathering and contemplation.

The coffee table introduces a dialogue between stone and glass. A base inspired by volcanic rock supports a glass surface that appears to float, revealing the prismatic geometry beneath. Transparency and weight coexist, allowing light to pass through while emphasising the depth and texture of the structure below.

PÈTRIA Modular Elements | Pep Gramage | VICALDESIGN
Completing the collection are modular elements reminiscent of the Reynisdrangar sea stacks: hexagonal prisms and vertical columns that function as tables, shelving or display pieces. Used together, they create interior landscapes; used individually, they retain their mineral strength. PÈTRIA is a collection that speaks of permanence and respect for nature, where solidity conveys calm and contrast creates harmony.
BRUTALIST Collection, by Pep Gramage
BRUTALIST draws inspiration from the origins of architecture itself: stone, mass and silence. The collection translates the sculptural force of concrete into salt wood, revealing grain, density and texture without concealment. Here, material honesty becomes the central aesthetic statement, and form emerges as an expression of ideology.

The dining tables are defined by a cross-shaped central column that supports the full weight of the structure with striking efficiency. This solution echoes traditional Japanese tsugite joinery techniques, where the act of joining becomes both structural and expressive. The result is a monumental yet restrained presence that elevates construction into design language.

BRUTALIST Dining Tables & Modular Shelves | Pep Gramage | VICALDESIGN
Inspired by monastic benches, the coffee table adopts an elongated, backless form where proportion and mass are carefully balanced. With broad planes and straight lines, the piece remains introverted but expressive, relying on material presence rather than ornamentation.

The open shelving system introduces an architectural dimension to the collection. Orthogonal geometry becomes a visual framework, creating a scenographic backdrop for objects. Each module feels intentional, almost symbolic, transforming storage into an interior architecture that brings order and meaning to space.

BRUTALIST Pedestals | Pep Gramage | VICALDESIGN
Side tables and pedestals complete the BRUTALIST universe, conceived as mobile volumes that offer visual rest within the composition. Together, the collection proposes a quiet resistance to the ephemeral, favouring weight, shadow and permanence as essential values in contemporary living.
GÀBIA Collection, by Pep Gramage
GÀBIA is an invitation to stillness. Inspired by Japanese architecture and traditional kumiko craftsmanship, the collection balances light and shadow, solidity and openness. Its mango wood lattice structures filter light gently, creating rhythms of contemplation and an atmosphere of calm restraint.

GÀBIA Storage Collection | Pep Gramage | VICALDESIGN
The wardrobe stands tall and serene, recalling traditional Japanese shutters. Its solid frame is softened by the visual lightness of the lattice, which casts shifting shadows throughout the day. Inside, generous storage remains discreetly concealed, offering functionality without disrupting the piece’s quiet presence.

The sideboard extends this language horizontally, acting as a grounding line within larger spaces. Lattice doors allow glimpses of the interior without full exposure, creating a refined tension between transparency and privacy. It organises space while contributing to its visual harmony.

GÀBIA Sideboard | Pep Gramage | VICALDESIGN
Designed for contemporary living areas, the TV unit balances technology with sensitivity. Sliding doors hide devices when not in use, while the rhythmic wooden slats soften the visual impact of screens. Rather than competing for attention, the piece supports and complements the environment.

GÀBIA is more than a collection; it is a way of inhabiting space with intention. Rooted in Eastern philosophy, its pieces offer refuge and rhythm, transforming interiors into places of quiet presence where simplicity becomes a form of luxury.
